E.G.K.F. has the aim of promoting, organising, regulating and popularising Goju-Ryu Karate Do. To fulfil our purposes, E.G.K.F. will follow the line, rules and goals established by the World Karate Federation (WKF).
Several National Federations have been contacted by E.G.K.F. for more then one time. Many didn’t reply (Andorra, Azerbaijan, Ireland, Luxembourg, Macedonia, Montenegro, Northern Ireland, Norway, Scotland and Slovenia).
Some stated Goju as inexistent: Cyprus, Malta, San Marino, Turkmenistan and Wales.
Some gave us addresses of Goju groups which we have contacted with no further results: Bulgaria, England, France, Greece and Sweden
Some pass away our information to Goju groups: Armenia, with no further evolution
Since last 2009 Senior Championship the following country made its application: Croatia

6. In order to achieve its purposes E.G.K.F. will: (…)
g. Seek recognition, as style federation, within the European Karate Federation;
Now WKF examine the occasion to establish a new category as certified events and certified styles. If this certification will be established, Federation can register as certified style organization, accept and apply all WKF rules and regulations for this purpose and then our activities will be certified by WKF.

Changes on EGKF Referee Committee Rules:
Article 1 – General dispositions
The Referee Committee will consist of the Chair and four (4) full E.G.K.F. Referee A members, all appointed by the Directing Committee and elected for a four years term by the Congress. All five must be qualified in both Kata and Kumite.

Obs:
Referee Committee will have 6 instead of 5 members, and the position of Secretary will be fully official.

The venue of the course shall be in principle the same as the one for European Senior Championships, one championship Kumite and the other Kata. That competition will serve as confirmation event

Article 8 – General Regulations
11. Country members should bring, at least, for every championship two (2) referees, failing to do so will imply the payment of penalty fee’s as follows:

Obs:
In 2012 it is clear that EKF/WKF will implement new kumite. Among them in Kumite on each tatami there will be 4 judges, 1 referee an 1 kansa. So we must have one more referee on every tatami
starting the year 2012. We must have 6 for the referee panel, one tatami manager and minimum one more for changing in the panel.
At least we need 8-9 referees for every tatami in 2012. Referees are therefore needed!

2.10. At all-time free internet access is required in all arena areas.
Obs:
Comunication requirements, even for athletes, demand increasing measures in this area.
Granting free internet access will be thus required in the future.

In order to assure correctness, to prevent extreme fatigue and to entrust the overall good quality of competition it should not exceed 10 hours from its beginning.

3. Report of the EGKF Secretary General
Notification for host country regarding organization of EGKF Championships:
E.G.K.F. Championships organising rules (EGKF – COR)
1. – SITE AND DATE
1.7. No later than six (6) months before the date of the scheduled Championships, the host country must send out the first information to all E.G.K.F. member countries. This information can be a bulletin or preferably a page allocated on our web site.
Information should be at least the following:
a) The date and venue for the event.
b) Preliminary programme of activities.
c) Hotels details and prices and airlines information.
1.8. No later than four (4) months prior to the event, another bulletin or preferably a page allocated on our web site with the following information.
a) Final confirmation of the contents of the first bulletin.
b) Final program for the Championships and all connected events (Congress, Committees Meetings, etc…).
c) Place and time of Registration.
2.2. Official Table
A large official table shall be placed in order to allocate at least 12 persons; it should be raised at least 1 meter from the floor.
4. – ORGANISATION IN HOST COUNTRY.
4.1. The OM must provide courtesy transport from the headquarters and official hotels to the stadium and return for all participants. It must also assure courtesy transport for the referees to the referee course and return.
The OM will also do their best to arrange, upon demand, the transportation of the delegations from the airport to the hotel. This service will be, if needed, quoted and accordingly charged.
The OM must also assure courtesy transport for all Committee members from the airport to the hotel and return and for their official duties during the Championships. The schedules will be coordinated by the General-Secretary with the host country.
8. – THE DRAW.
8.1. The draw will be made by the OC. Each completed master sheet must be signed by an official.
8.2. The draw must use computerised random process with the exception that the previous corresponding Championships finalists are separated as widely as possible and double entries from each nation are segregated into separate pools, or as far apart as possible if in one pool.
Proposal for the Change of competition schedule:
Kumite individual has to be first (Saturday) before kumite teams (Sunday) to prevent possible situation of cancel competition because of injury in the team event.

Result: Kumite individual has to be first (Saturday) than kumite teams (Sunday) both in senior and junior Championships.
4. Report of the EGKF treasurer
Mr. Pieter Harms has reported EGKF budget (income and expenditure). Complete report is at the disposal.

EGKF Treasurer has made a very good job, incomes and outcomes are correctly scheduled.
